Umrah Guide
What Is Included in an Umrah Package?
By Bin Qasim Travel & Tours TeamPublished
Quick answer
When families compare Umrah packages, the biggest source of confusion is what each price actually covers. This guide explains the usual components so you can compare packages fairly and ask the right questions.
The core components
| Component | What it usually means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Umrah visa assistance | Help preparing documents and submitting the visa application | Whether visa fees are included in the price |
| Makkah accommodation | A set number of nights in a hotel in Makkah | Hotel name, distance from Masjid al-Haram, room type |
| Madinah accommodation | A set number of nights near Masjid an-Nabawi | Hotel name, distance, room type |
| Transport | Airport transfers and travel between Makkah and Madinah | Shared or private vehicle |
| Flights | Return airfare from Pakistan (only in some packages) | Airline, baggage allowance, departure city |
| Meals | Breakfast or full board (only in some packages) | Which meals, and at which hotel |
| Ziyarat | Guided visits to historical sites in Makkah and Madinah | Which sites and how transport works |
What is usually not included
Personal spending, shopping, extra nights, room upgrades, laundry and anything not written on your quotation are normally not included. If something matters to you, ask for it to be written into the quotation.
How room type affects the price
Hotels price rooms by occupancy. A quad room shared by four people costs less per person than a double room shared by two. Families often choose triple or quad rooms to keep costs down while staying together.
Questions to ask before you book
- Which hotels exactly, and how far are they from the Haram?
- How many nights in Makkah and how many in Madinah?
- Are flights included? From which city, and with what baggage allowance?
- Is transport shared or private?
- Are visa fees included?
- What are the payment and cancellation terms?
You can compare our Umrah packages or request a quote with your dates, and our team will send a written quotation that answers each of these questions.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Umrah visa always part of the package?
Most packages include visa assistance, but the visa itself is issued by the Saudi authorities. Check whether visa fees are included in the price you are quoted.
Why do two packages with the same number of nights cost different amounts?
Price mainly depends on the hotel category, the distance from the Haram, the room type (double, triple or quad), the season and whether flights are included.
Can I build my own package?
Yes. You can choose the hotels, number of nights in each city and the services you need, and receive a custom quotation.
